Compliance engine

We tell you what you're legally on the hook for.

35 requirements across national, VIC, NSW, QLD and WA — trade licensing, food safety, NDIS worker screening, tax registration and insurance. Filtered to your industry and your state.

We deliberately publish no award pay rates. They change every July and stale figures cause underpayment — so we model when an entitlement applies and send you to Fair Work for the number.

Frequently asked questions

What does startup.help actually do?

You tell us what kind of business you're starting and where. We assemble the software, insurance and partner services that suit that industry, work out every registration and licence you're on the hook for, collect your details once, and set the services up for you at bundle rates.

How much does it cost?

Browsing is free — industry profiles, compliance obligations and all the guides are open to everyone. You only pay for the services you choose in your bundle, at rates below what you'd pay signing up to each one directly.

Do I need an account to browse?

No. You can explore every industry profile, compare software and read every guide anonymously. An account is only created at the end, once you've picked a bundle and we need somewhere to save your details.

How do you make money — and does it affect rankings?

We earn a margin on bundled services and referral arrangements with some partners. Rankings never follow commission: the stack is ordered by what suits your trade, and where a strong alternative exists we show it alongside.

Why don't you publish award pay rates?

Award rates change every 1 July and stale figures cause underpayment. We model when an award or entitlement applies to your business, then send you to the Fair Work pay tools for the current number.

Is this legal, financial or tax advice?

No — everything here is general information. Confirm anything that matters with a registered tax agent, licensed adviser or the relevant regulator before acting on it.

Start with your industry.
